These are active "Still Lifes": objects, ephemera, possessions that define parameters of quotidian existence.
Over time the ubiquitous 'Still Life" provides an ongoing interpretation of artifacts as signifiers of a larger
matrix.

By observing visual phenomena: light and matter interacting in the realm of the object: mute, banal, absurd, I attempt an exchange between space and artifact where nonentities invoke response.
The paintings explicate the structural-philosophical content of minutiae,
generally relegated to peripheral zones of significance, taking it "through the
looking glass" where matter resonates and is transmogrified.
